A Hilarious and Heartfelt Journey Through My Life

Wait, what?!

- A Hilarious and Heartfelt Journey Through My Life -

Join me, Seisa, with Paolo on piano, in a solo cabaret show split into six different episodes — kind of like chapters in a book. Together, we’ll take you on a rollercoaster ride of laughs, music, and life’s “Wait, what?!” moments. Binge-watch them all or pop in for a few — you’ll still get the full experience!
🎤 Starring Seisa

One performer, one music director, six episodes — one unforgettable experience!

Teenage Girl in Tokyo, ‘90s

Yep, ID checks weren’t a thing for clubbing or drinking! And if you think anime was just cute and wholesome, think again—imagine growing up with some rather... interesting (or rather inappropriate?!) anime content!

Life in Amsterdam

Spoiler alert: It's not all windmills and bikes. But there is definitely a lot of fun (and drugs). Ever wonder how Dutch parents handle their kids smoking pot? Let me just say: It’s NOT like how it goes down in Japan. My friend’s parents smoked with him and then asked him, “Why is it fun to be high?” (Can you even imagine?!). Honestly, if I had parents like that, I would’ve had a totally different teenage experience.

The Real Life Stuff

From navigating relationship drama and career changes, to overcoming insecurity and learning to love myself—this show is about all the things we go through. But with a personal twist. (Trust me, you're going to relate.)

Schedule

  • Feb 26, 2025, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
    Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036, USA
I quit my stable IT job to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time performer. The reaction was mixed—some supported me, others didn’t understand. But I knew it was the right decision. Though challenging, this leap has brought me fulfillment and a new purpose.
  • Feb 19, 2025, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
    Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036, USA
In Amsterdam’s underground scene, I embraced freedom. Techno parties, diverse communities, and creative souls taught me that everyone has their own life and values, and there are no right answers that fit everyone. These years expanded my mind and deepened my sense of individuality.

Another major transition: leaving beloved SF for Amsterdam to build a life with the partner I’d be with for the next 10 years. In between, I experienced the 3/11 tsunami. Embracing a new culture and a 9-to-5 job, I felt lost at times, but it became a journey of growth and self-discovery.

    Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036, USA
Moving to SF for university gave me freedom from societal expectations. Embracing new ideas and making lifelong friends, I found myself evolving. My Tokyo friends said I became “more rounded, pure, and genuine,” a transformation that would define my future.

Tokyo was a playground for discovery. Between shopping in Shibuya and sneaking into clubs, I became street-smart but faced harassment and assaults. These painful experiences shaped me into someone resilient, learning the hard way how to navigate both love and danger.

Introduced to Broadway at age 3, sparked a lifelong love for performance. Moved back to Tokyo at 8 and struggled to adapt. Bullied and at times, a bully myself, I navigated a new culture, changing school and discovering Tokyo’s subcultures. My teenage years also marked the beginning of dating boys.
